Arizona Foundation for Women raises $465,000 for the Soiree: Moonlight Masquerade

Non-profit organization raised funds for local women’s groups during annual fundraising and

award event.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz — Arizona Foundation for Women hosted their annual signature event for

over 550 guests at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. The event raised

$465,000 and increased awareness of the philanthropic efforts for women in Arizona.

Event Co-chairs Dr. Radha Rishi and Dr. Seema Patel, Vice Chairs Seema Kode and Renee

Karmi, and the Master of Ceremonies and auctioneer Bobby Ehlert, welcomed attendees to the

valley’s premier awareness and fundraising event for women.

Arizona Foundation for Women was able to celebrate honorees of the Sandra Day O’Connor

Lifetime Achievement Award Mary-Louise Parker, the Voice of Women Award Andrea Tyler

Evans, and the Marilyn R. Seymann Award Sheriff Paul Penzone. The honorees' efforts in the

community align with AFW’s goals toward women’s movements and support women-serving

nonprofit organizations across Arizona.

“We had the incredible opportunity to honor three people who truly have helped advance

women’s causes throughout their careers. We are honored that Mary-Louise Parker, Andrea Tyler

Evans and Sheriff Paul Penzone were able to join us for our celebration,” said CEO of Arizona

Foundation for Women Mesha Davis.

The following organizations have received the first round of 2023 grants through Arizona

Foundation for Women:

  • ALWAYS AZ

  • Time Out, Inc.

  • Mt. Graham Safe House

  • Control Alt Delete

  • Colorado River Regional Crisis Services.

More grants will be awarded and announced in the coming months. For those unable to attend
