Arizona Foundation for Women announces honorees for Moonlight Masquerade for February 24, 2023
The soirée honors award-winning actress Mary-Louise Parker, Maricopa County Sheriff Paul
Penzone and publisher and philanthropist Andrea Tyler Evans.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Details have been released for the Arizona Foundation for Women’s
annual signature event which will again be one of the valley’s premier awareness and fundraising
events. This year’s Moonlight Masquerade will be held on February 24, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at the
JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. The Moonlight Masquerade is co-chaired
by Dr. Radha Rishi and Seema Patel.
“It’s an honor to recognize this year’s astounding advocates for women. Mary-Louise Parker
who unselfishly gives back and includes her children in her humanitarian work; Andrea Tyler
Evans, a community business owner who gives her all to many worthy nonprofits, especially
women-serving organizations; and Sheriff Paul Penzone who is on the front lines every day
keeping women safe in our state,” said CEO of Arizona Foundation for Women Mesha Davis.
The annual event will feature the honorees for the Sandra Day O’Connor Lifetime Achievement
Award, Voice of Women Award and the Marilyn R. Seymann Award.
Mary-Louise Parker - Sandra Day O’Connor Lifetime Achievement Award, given to
distinguished women for their leadership and contributions to society.
Parker has been a Broadway and television actress for more than 35 years and has won
numerous awards including two Tony awards, an Emmy and two Golden Globes. She has
been recognized for her work in the US and East Africa, especially with women and
children, and her work on behalf of the LGBTQ community.
"Having grown up in Arizona, it is such an honor to be receiving the Sandra Day O'Connor
Award and an incredible privilege to bring attention to a cause so close to my heart,” said
Mary-Louise Parker.
Andrea Tyler Evans - Voice of Women Award, recognizing women filmmakers, artists and
thought leaders.
Evans is the owner and publisher of Frontdoors Media, a local print and digital
publication company. She spends tireless hours volunteering at organizations, including
AFW, that support women, children and the arts.
Sheriff Paul Penzone - Marilyn R. Seymann Award, given to an Arizonan who has made a
significant difference in the lives of women and children.
Penzone has more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement and is the current
sheriff of Maricopa County. Penzone has served as vice president for Childhelp, a
non-profit dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and serves on the board of the New
Life Domestic Violence Center.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with notable AFW patrons and guests throughout
the evening. All event proceeds will be used to promote the programs and services of the
Arizona Foundation for Women: Safety, Health and Economic Empowerment for women in
Arizona.
