Live and Learn


Live and Learn works with female survivors of domestic violence and extreme poverty to address the unique challenges they face entering or re-entering the job market. Live and Learn provides a structured pathway through education, training and support.



The Men’s Anti-violence Network (MAN) is a group comprised of community leaders dedicated to stopping domestic violence by promoting efforts to hold the abuser accountable. MAN works to change public policy and increase public awareness.

AFW publishes the Status of Women Report to develop awareness for issues facing women in Arizona in the following areas: Safety, Health, and Economic Empowerment. 

Arizona Foundation for Women promotes innovative solutions to provide for the
Safety, Health and Economic empowerment
of Arizona women and children.
We believe SHE Counts!

AFW promotes philanthropy by and for women, funds model programs and new ideas, and facilitates community collaboration so women and children can live free from fear in a just society. AFW works with partners in the community to assure the Safety, Health and Economic security (SHE) of women and children in Arizona. The SHE Counts initiative combines research, grant making and advocacy to fulfill the AFW mission.

AFW affects measurable change through the:

  • Promotion of philanthropy by individuals, corporations and foundations
  • Empowerment of victims to become not just survivors, but thrivers!
